Amazon Gift Guide

Monday, December 11, 2017

It's almost Christmas???! No way! Somehow this year, Christmas has completely snuck up on me. I thought I had plenty of time to still find awesome gifts for everyone but I'm down to the wire. Especially if what you're wanting to buy is online! EEK.

I've recently become slightly addicted to Amazon. I have found SO MANY good deals and neat items that it's become my new go to. Since I have found so many awesome deals & interesting gifts I thought it would be fun to share a few with you all. I know I've kind of M.I.A lately on the blog but I am wanting to change that with the new year coming. Look forward to hearing from me more frequently.

The Music Lover

Fashionista

Outdoors Guru

Beauty Obsessed

All of these items are under $100, most being under $50. I hope that everyone finds exactly what they're looking for this holiday season! Just think, soon enough it will end and we will be sitting around a whole year waiting for that Christmas magic to return.

Exploring Outdoors

Tuesday, October 24, 2017

I've said it once before and I will say it a 100 more times.. I love being outside during Autumn! There is just something about the crisp, cool air that I am addicted to. I love taking drives and finding new places to explore. Last year I found a very gorgeous overlook that wasn't much of a walk at all. If you truly know me.. hiking isn't my strongest like in life. I love getting outside but when it comes to climbing mountains I usually draw the line. However, this place has become truly special to me.

My Sister is the one who actually introduced me to this little overlook. I've since done several photo sessions here and even shot her engagement photos there. Nick and I took Frank for a little hike one day and he loved it! The view is so gorgeous and it's the perfect spot for an afternoon date or picnic.

If you're near to Cookeville, TN area then I highly suggest taking a trip up to Monterey to visit Bee Rock. If you do, please tag #ChelseaAlysonBlog in your photo!

Autumn Playlist

Monday, October 23, 2017

When I think of Autumn I automatically go to chilly, dreary days. I personally love cloudy days so I think that's why I enjoy the season so much. Every good rainy, chilly day needs a music playlist. I've always been a lover of music. I enjoy everything from jazz to rap. My taste varies depending on my mood for that particular day. I've compiled a few songs to share with you guys that I enjoy listening to when the sky is moody and the air is bitter.

Share some of your favorite songs in the comments!

Fall Bucket List

Can someone please explain how it is already the end of October?! I feel like I blinked and it went by. Fall is my favorite season & for many reasons. Just because October is ending doesn't mean the fall activities cannot go on. I've thought about all the things I enjoy doing and decided to share a few of them with you guys. Not to mention, the weather is just NOW starting to cool down.

- Taking a walk and enjoying the crisp, autumn air

- Drinking cider by a bonfire

- Visting a pumpkin patch

- Going through a haunted house/maze

- Watching endless scary movies & by scary I mean- Halloweentown & Hocus Pocus

- Snuggling up with someone you love under a cozy blanket

There are SO many positive attributes to Autumn. The falling leaves, the chilly weather, the yummy fall recipes & countless other things are just a few things that make up the perfect Autumn.

I'd love to hear from you guys what your favorite things to do are. Shout out on social media or comment and let me know!

It's just a bunch of Hocus Pocus

It is officially the spooky season and I couldn't be more excited! If you can't tell already from the photos above.. I'm a tad bit obsessed with Hocus Pocus. I've watched the movie nearly 200 times..if not more. Excited is an understatement for how I feel about kicking off this Halloween season. I have tons of fun content planned to share with you guys.. plus a special Friday the 13th post!

I'd love to hear some Halloween traditions you may have. I'll be sharing more throughout the next several days so stay tuned.

My Piece Of Heaven

Thursday, October 5, 2017

Everyone needs something in their life to live for. In my case, I have 2 things that keep me going day to day.

Nicholas and Franklin..my 2 favorite men. I'm not sure what I would do without these guys. Nick and I have been together nearly a decade and this month we celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary. I'm seriously blessed to have such a kind, hard working man in my life. To grow up with your spouse is definitely a one-of-a-kind experience. Franklin came into our lives a couple years ago now. I will say... I was very reluctant about getting a dog. Dogs are a LOT of responsibility and that's just something I wasn't ready for. Plus, I figured I'd end up being the only one to do all the work lol. After the first couple of (ROUGH!) weeks, Franklin settled into our home perfectly. At the time we brought him home I was still working from home, as was Nick, so we become 2 peas in a pod.

Frank quickly became my little furry best friend. He's such a sweet baby that loves to sleep and cuddle. It's been the hardest thing ever for me to leave him every day and go back to a real job. My plans in life is to eventually be a stay at home mom and dog mom. Nick slightly approves but still isn't 100% on board.

Having people, or fur babies, to come home to is the best feeling in the world. I feel like I have something to always look forward to. If you're single, look at getting you a pet. Everyone needs someone. Having something to look forward to each day can really change the whole outlook of your day.

Words Have Power

Monday, October 2, 2017

Creating this new blog made me excited for many reasons. Before, I would blog about pretty much the same thing everyone else was. This time around I fully intend to be 100% me in my blog content and the words I type.

I wanted to share this post first because of the sign we managed to capture in the background.
"Words Have Power"

There is so much going on in the world and the most important thing that we have is our voice. I think it's extremely important to stand up for what you believe in because if you don't then you'll fade into the background.

I don't intend to share political views on this blog or anything like that...but I just want everyone to know that I love and respect everyone's choices. I may not understand something but that doesn't mean it doesn't work for you.

Being a blogger means being vulnerable to hate, critics and much more. I have never let words tear me down but that doesn't mean they won't hurt others. Words DO have power... make sure you don't spew them out in hate.

First Things First

These photos are just a small glimpse into my life.

SO.. who am I?

My name is Chelsea Trusty. I've actually been blogging for a few years now but I recently took some time off. I used to run a blog called Mimosas and Curls. If you kept up with me over there then you kind of already know a little bit about me. However, after my time off I sit down to really analyze my blog and decided that I wanted to make some MAJOR changes.

I found myself blogging about senseless stuff sometimes and that just didn't fit my personality. Yes, I enjoy fashion and beauty products.. but that isn't really my entire life. I love sharing home decor and recipes also. When I decided to completely re-brand myself I knew that I was going to start from scratch.

I am very excited to see where this new journey takes me. Stay tuned for more lifestyle blogging.
